Host a Board Game Night

Evenings after work can get a little dull, especially when you’re tired from a long day. Instead of going out for a night on the town here in Ladson, SC, we suggest staying in to play some board games! In this week’s Cypress River Blog, we’ve got a few suggestions on how to host a fun and exciting board game night in your luxurious apartment. Invite your friends over and have a blast!

Food

When you head to someone else’s home for a game night and they don’t put out snacks, you’re probably going to be a little disappointed. Though it’s not the focus of the night and shouldn’t be expected, having snacks and food can help you have a better experience. Invite your friends to bring their favorite snacks to share or provide them yourself. Depending on the games you’re going to play, you may want to steer away from the snacks that leave a residue on your fingers, especially if you’re playing someone else’s game. Remember to put out napkins so people can clean up before their turn!

Seats

Ensure that your guests have an enjoyable time by making sure they’re comfortable. Bring out some extra pillows, blankets, and chairs for your guests to use just in case. If you don’t have enough couch space, you can opt for moving your couch and sit on cushions around the coffee table.

Games

Since games are what the night is about, the games you put out are important. If you don’t have too many board games, you can invite your friends to bring their favorite games to increase the pool you can choose from. We suggest choosing a game that can involve all those present and is relatively easy to learn.

Game nights are a fun way to spend an evening and foster relationships with your friends. If you have a favorite board game, let us know by leaving a comment!
