Refreshing Drink Ideas

three milkshakes in glass cups

The summer here in Ladson, SC is going to be hot, so you’re going to need to find a variety of ways to cool down! One of our favorite ways to cool down is by sipping on some delicious drinks! In this week’s Cypress River Blog, we’re sharing some drink recipes to try out this summer.

Arnold Palmer

  • 5 fluid ounces prepared lemonade

  • 5 fluid ounces prepared iced tea

  • 1 cup ice

There’s nothing too complicated about this recipe for an Arnold Palmer, but that’s why we love it! Drinks don’t have to be complicated to be delicious, and this is definitely the case with this recipe! We suggest you try it out the next time you’re looking for a cool, refreshing drink!

Ginger-Peach Soda

  • 1 cup sugar

  • 2 tbsp. minced fresh ginger

  • 2 very ripe peaches

  • 2 liter Seltzer

  • 16 fresh mint leaves

Looking for a refreshing fruity drink? Look no further than this recipe! The sweetness of the peaches mixed with the spicy nature of the ginger combine for a delicious treat! You can enjoy this drink anywhere, from the porch to the backyard!

Cookies and Cream Milkshake

  • 6 scoops Vanilla Ice Cream

  • 2/3 cup Whole Milk

  • 6 Oreos crushed

  • Whipped cream and crushed Oreos to top the shakes

If you love Oreos and milkshakes, now’s your chance to combine those two loves for an amazing combination! Crushed Oreos mixed into your milkshake may not be the healthiest, but it is sure delicious. This recipe is also perfect for when you want to treat little kids to a cool, refreshing treat on a hot day!
