Simple Halloween Costume Ideas
Because Halloween is only a week or two away, we here at Cypress River Blog figure that at least a few members of our apartment community are having a hard time deciding what to dress up as. This year, we’re here to help you out by sharing a few simple costume ideas to make your life easier! Whether you take inspiration for these costumes or you decide to dress up as something completely different, we hope you have a festive Halloween in Ladson, SC.
Whether or not you have a beard, this Brawny Man costume doesn’t require much outside regular daily wear. Choose your best red plaid shirt and black pants, and before you know it, you’ll look just like the Brawny Man! If you’re worried people won’t get it, stop by the grocery store before heading over to your Halloween festivities and buy a roll of Brawny paper towels.
For anyone having a hard time choosing what to dress up as this month, remember that puns are a great idea for Halloween costumes; not only are they a play on words, but there is an added visual component that makes these types of costumes all the more enjoyable! Consider poking fun on the idea of a “breadwinner” by wearing award medals around your neck while holding several loaves of bread.
Don’t be concerned, this costume is rated PG — and it’s sure to get a few good laughs. The 50 Shades of Grey book series and movie franchise may be a few years past its prime, but all your friends will definitely get the reference. Grab a handful of paint swatches from a local hardware store — grey, of course — and pin them all over your shirt!
Looking for an easy way to create a costume everyone can relate to? Grab a few boxes of your favorite movie theater treats, as well as an empty soda and popcorn container, and spread them at random across your shirt.
If you need an easy couple’s costume and you’re a sucker for a good pun, then this Halloween might be for you. It’s simple: one person wears as much green as possible, and the other wears visibly the word “envy” visibly on their shirt. Practice saying your costume name in sync so that when someone asks you what you are, you can simultaneously blurt out, “green with envy!”
Thanks for reading our post today. We hope that all within our apartment community find the perfect costume this Halloween.
