Summer Fashion Tips

The weather is getting warmer, which means you’re soon able to break out the shorts and put the sweaters and hoodies away! One of the worst parts of the summer is being limited in the type of clothing you can wear, since you have to consider the warmer weather and humidity. In this week’s Cypress River Blog, we’ve got a few summer fashion tips for you so you can stay cool!

The type of fabrics your clothing is made of can have a profound impact on how you’re going to feel through the day. We recommend staying away from thicker fabrics like wool in favor of lighter, more breathable fabrics like cotton or linen. If you’re not used to wearing fabrics like linen, be careful of how easily it can get wrinkled! These types of fabrics not only breathe well on a hot, humid day, they also look great! Lean into a more relaxed outfit and enjoy the warmer weather of Ladson, SC!

Do you usually enjoy wearing a tighter fit? Though it may be your preferred fit for jeans and other clothes, you may want to try something new! This summer, opt for a looser fit for your outfits! You can wear shorts with a loose fitting button up shirt to keep it breezy through the day, or a sundress to feel free! If you can’t live without your tighter fitting clothing, make sure that it’s made from a fabric that wicks sweat away from your body!

Accessorizing has not always been popular, but it can help you keep cool and make your summer a little more enjoyable! The most popular accessories during the summer are hats and sunglasses, so we recommend investing in some high quality ones. Straw hats are a good option to keep your head cool while protecting your skin from the blazing sun, and a nice pair of sunglasses can keep the pesky sunlight out of your precious eyes. If you intend on going out, don’t forget those accessories and don’t forget to put on sunscreen!
