Now that the weather is starting to get cooler, you might start to feel it in your apartment. Even though the warmth of summer will pass and your home might start to get a little colder, we know that you may not want to pile up the heat bill just yet, so we’ve collected a few different ways you can cozy up your home. In this week’s Cypress Blog, we’ve got a few tips for staying perfectly toasty in your Cypress, SC apartment!

Find a Cozy Pair of Slippers

If the weather is cold, you’ll definitely start to feel it in your feet. We suggest getting some soft slippers to switch into once you get home and take off your shoes. Slippers protect your feet from the cold floor as well as warm your feet up. Keep these slippers by the door so you can swap into them as soon as you get home!

Invest in More Blankets

Whether you’re reading a book, watching a movie, or just trying to take a quick nap, having more blankets around your home will help you stay nice and warm. Consider investing in some cozy blankets or even a Snuggie! Keep them on your couch or in a storage ottoman (if you have one) for easy access.

Get Throw Pillows and Cushions

When it comes to comfort, having extra pillows and cushions will certainly lend to that. Not only will you have something to lie on when you’re taking a nap, but you will also have something to snuggle up to when you while enjoying your favorite movie or show on your preferred streaming service. Don’t go overboard by adding too many pillows and cushions around you or it might restrict your range of movement. Just put enough that you can feel comfortable!

These suggestions are meant to make your home more cozy with the changing weather. If you have any tips for us on how you’ve made your home more warm and welcoming as the weather gets colder, let our apartment community know by leaving a comment! Thanks for reading!
